Das Original der Diana von Gabii wurde im 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr. geschaffen. 1792 wurde sie in den Ruinen der Villa des römischen Kaisers Hadrian in Gabii, einer antiken Stadt nahe Rom, gefunden. Heute befindet sie sich im Louvre Museum.
